Meet Diana & Mosley
Bedstuy Yoga was born from a simple wish: What if there was a yoga studio where people greeted you by name? Where they asked “what street do you live on?” Where kindness and community mattered as much as the yoga itself?
After more than 20 years working in some of NYC’s best restaurants, Diana knew what genuine hospitality felt like. She knew the power of making someone feel welcomed and the power of yoga.
In 2024, recovering from foot surgery, Diana spent months visualizing the yoga studio she wished existed in her own neighborhood. Every detail. Every handmade piece. The Vermont farmhouse aesthetic. The pine scent. The little farm animals tucked into corners.
On Valentine’s Day 2025, that vision became real, and Diana built this studio entirely herself. Her mission focused on building a community gathering space where neighbors can genuinely connect and relax.
Beyond the studio, Diana is also a published playwright and poet. Her book “If/When” is available at Books Are Magic in Cobble Hill, as well as on Audible and Amazon. She brings that same creative, heartfelt energy to everything she does.
Our Philosophy
We believe yoga studios should feel less like spas and more like home. Less like businesses and more like neighborhoods. Less about perfection and more about connection.
Hospitality First
You’ll be greeted like a neighbor, not a transaction. Warm, genuine, never corporate.
Community & Conversation
We encourage you to talk to the person next to you. Build real connections. The person on the mat beside you might live on your block.
Teachers as People
Our teachers aren’t wellness gurus on pedestals. They’re your neighbors. Real people you can talk to, who understand the unique experience of living in Bed-Stuy.
Come As You Are
First yoga class ever? Perfect. Been practicing for years? Also perfect. Leave feeling better than when you walked in. That’s all that matters.

Meet Mosley
Mosley is our Bernese Mountain Dog puppy who’s become an unofficial mascot of Bedstuy Yoga. She’s often at the studio for check-in, and sometimes she stays for practice too.
Students love her. She loves students. It’s a perfect match.
If you’re lucky, you might get greeted by both Diana and Mosley when you arrive. Double the welcome, double the warmth.
Come say hi! She’s very friendly and always happy to see new faces.
What Makes Us Different
Top-Notch Instructors
Students consistently tell us our teachers are “warm,” “wonderful,” “patient,” and “encouraging.” Quality instruction is non-negotiable here.
Every Teacher Teaches Different Yoga
Every single teacher brings their own filter to the practice, shaped by their unique life experiences. Come every day and experience yoga in a new way. That’s what it’s all about.
Nearly All Our Teachers Live in Bed-Stuy
This is authentic neighborhood investment. We’re investing in our own community, and you’ll see teachers practicing with one another. We live here too.
Fair, Transparent Pricing
Students say we’re “fairly priced” and offer “great value.” No hidden costs, no pressure, just honest pricing for top-quality yoga.
Amazing Addition to the Neighborhood
That’s what our neighbors say! We’re proud to be part of the fabric of Bedford-Stuyvesant, contributing to what makes this neighborhood special.
